Welcome to GreenEduLARP project. This project aims at using the tool of EduLARP (Educational Live Action Role Playing) for Climate Change Education (CCE). This way students but also teachers – as involved participants- will be connecting the topics related to Climate Change learned in classroom with real-life situations, therefore relating to their own life, making connections also on how green their life and attitude are.
Stay connected with the progress of the project by reading our newsletter, that will be released continuously until we finish in 2024. If you are an educator, working with Educational Larp or just generally interested in new ways of working with environmental issues this project is for you!
Spreading the GreenEdularp Revolution: Empowering Educators in Thessaloniki with Innovative Environmental Education
In Thessaloniki, two high schools recently had the opportunity to explore the groundbreaking GreenEdularp methodology and participate in a three-day training program held in Poland. This immersive experience not only familiarised these educators with the methodology but also inspired them to bring environmental education to life in their classrooms. The introduction of the GreenEdularp methodology to the high schools in Thessaloniki, along with the three-day training program in Poland, has paved the way for a new era of environmental education in the region. With dedicated and informed educators at the helm, students in Thessaloniki will benefit from an engaging and transformative learning experience that will instil in them a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship. The ripple effect of this initiative promises to inspire other educators and schools to embrace innovative methodologies, ultimately leading to a greener and more sustainable future for all.

Environmental education plays a crucial role in shaping the mindset and behaviour of future generations towards sustainability and ecological responsibility. Embracing this notion, the 1st High School of Neapoli in Thessaloniki has taken a commendable step forward by implementing the GreenEdularp methodology. This innovative approach combines environmental education with live-action role-playing (LARP), creating an engaging and immersive learning experience for students. The implementation of the GreenEdularp methodology at the 1st High School of Neapoli represents a significant leap towards effective environmental education. By embracing this innovative approach, students will acquire not only knowledge but also a sense of responsibility for the environment. As they immerse themselves in exciting role-playing scenarios, students develop the skills and mindset necessary to become ambassadors for positive change.
Crafting Engaging Lesson Plans
In the ’Green EduLarp’ project, we’re taking an exciting step by crafting engaging lesson plans that use Live Action Role-Playing (Larp) to teach environmental issues. It’s all about making learning more fun and interactive.
Our team is designing lesson plans suitable for different ages and classrooms. These plans use Larp to create immersive learning experiences. By making education more engaging, they encourage students to care about the environment and solve real problems.
Our conversations with teachers are positive, as they see the potential of Larp to make learning exciting and inspire students to be eco-conscious. ’Green EduLarp’ is all about creating a new way of learning, one that’s creative, engaging, and environmentally friendly. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey.
